Your apprenticeship at ELA
During your 3.5-year apprenticeship, you will learn about the various activities of a metalworker in the special construction of our containers. The training is offered by ELA Container Engineering GmbH. You can find more information about the company below.
Metalworkers specialising in construction technology manufacture and assemble roofs, façade elements, gates, window frames or protective grilles made of steel or other metals. You often make one-off pieces to customer specifications. You follow technical drawings when working and processing light metals or steel by hand or by machine. You cut metal plates, tubes or profiles, cut them to size and shape them. Then you weld, rivet or screw the individual components together. During on-site assembly, you also install locking and security systems and, for example, mechanical, hydraulic and electric drives for gate or sun protection systems. You also maintain and service their products.

- Physical fitness is an advantage
- Interest in math, technology and physics
- Manual dexterity and spatial awareness
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Very good knowledge of German and good written and spoken English
What you can expect from us
- We work in our production halls in a single-shift system
- We organise an extensive induction programme for you so that you get to know the entire company, all your colleagues and our products.
- Our more than 30 trainees and dual students who are already employed will make your start in professional life easier and will be there to help you with any questions you may have at any time. Your mentor will accompany you, especially during the first weeks of your apprenticeship.

- To keep you healthy and fit, we regularly offer you various health activities and massage appointments.
